“ I love women. Therefore, I design dresses and eveningwear to empower them ”.

Jamie has over twenty-five years of design experience, specializing in high-end dresses, cocktail dresses, eveningwear and ballgowns. Jamie's early introduction into the world of fashion began in Paris, designing woman's shoes at Balenciaga and millinery for Louis Feraud's Haute Couture.

With expertise in fit through production, an excellent sketcher, a passion for luxury and innovation, Jamie has an innate ability for designing through the draping technique. Key designs pioneered were the draped-waist gown, guitar seaming, asymmetric draping and the high-low silhouette.                                                                          The eponymous label, Pesavento Couture, New York City debuted in 1994 and was recognized nationally for fit, detail and innovation. Clients included Saks 5th Avenue, Kleinfeld New York, and the great fashion icon, Joan Rivers. Media coverage includes NY1 News, The Knot, The New York Post and WWD.

An honors graduate from The Fashion Institute of Technology of New York, the recipient of the Ann Albrizio Commencement Award, and a Gen Art Eveningwear finalist, Jamie enjoys cycling and is inspired by the draping masters of the past, Charles James and Madame Gres.
